Who we are

Unique Istanbul Experiences (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website at https://uniqueistanbulexperiences.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to deliver our services:

• —Name and email address — when you make a booking or purchase a digital product.
• —Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never store card details on our servers.
• —Booking details — tour date, number of guests, special requirements.
• —Usage data — page views and clicks, collected via Google Analytics only with your explicit consent.

How we use your data

Your data is used to fulfil your order (booking confirmation emails, digital product delivery) and to communicate about your tour. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie (uie_consent) to store your cookie consent preference. No third-party cookies are set until you grant consent. If you grant consent, Google Analytics, Bókun booking widget and Elfsight reviews widget may set their own cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

Data storage and security

Booking and customer data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU. Digital product files are stored in Supabase Storage with row-level security. Download links expire after 7 days.

Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable Turkish data protection law, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@uniqueistanbulexperiences.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• —Bókun — tour booking platform. Bookings are processed under Bókun's own terms.
• —Stripe — payment processing. Card data is handled under Stripe's PCI-DSS certification.
• —Resend — transactional email delivery.
• —Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics (consent-gated).
• —Elfsight — reviews widget (consent-gated).
• —Welcome Pickups — transfer booking (external link, their privacy policy applies).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this page.
