Unique Istanbul Experiences began with a simple frustration: too many tourists were leaving Istanbul having seen the right buildings but missed the actual city. The mosques, the palace, the bazaar — checked. The real Istanbul — the neighbourhood tea houses, the craft ateliers tucked behind the grand streets, the Bosphorus at 7 AM when the fishermen are still out — never encountered.
We set out to change that. Our team of certified local guides designs every experience around one question: what would we show a close friend visiting for the first time? The answer is always more personal, slower and more honest than a standard tour itinerary.
Today we run 18 experiences — from Ottoman craft workshops and small-group food tours to private Bosphorus yacht cruises — each one built around genuine local knowledge and capped at small group sizes so that every guest receives real attention.

Local First
Every guide is born and raised in Istanbul. We know the city not as a collection of sites, but as a living place — with all its layers, contradictions and beauty.
Small Groups
We cap every tour at 8–12 people. A small group allows real conversation, flexibility and genuine connection — not a crowd experience.
Certified Expertise
All guides hold Ministry of Culture and Tourism certification. Each has spent years deepening their knowledge in history, food, crafts or the sea.
No Rush
We do not try to cover everything. We try to cover the right things, slowly enough that they actually mean something.
