Everyone has tried Turkish delight. But almost nobody knows how it's actually made. Learn all the secrets of Turkish Delight in one workshop

What you'll experience

You'll arrive at our cozy workshop space in Fatih and be welcomed by your host chef. The session starts with the fascinating story of Turkish delight — how lokum was born in the Ottoman palace kitchens, how it conquered Europe, and why it's still one of Turkey's most beloved treats centuries later. Then comes the tasting — three types of lokum side by side: classic, rose, and creamy. Your host explains what makes each one different and how to spot real quality lokum from the tourist shop versions. Next, you roll up your sleeves. Your host walks you through the full lokum-making process step by step — mixing, cooking, whisking, pouring, setting, cutting, and coating in powdered sugar. It's more hands-on than you'd expect — and way more fun. You'll leave with your own freshly made lokum and a 200g Hacı Bekir gift box to take home.
